Frilly
Frocks Plush Update: There are no plans to make another
jumbo plush item available through the points program. If your order
for the plush Frilly Frocks pony was postmarked before January 18th, 2005
and you do not receive one because stock is depleted,
you will be receiving a postcard with information
regarding this situation. It would appear Hasbro has
decided to make more of plush ponies for both the US and
Canada. The postcard will give instructions on what to
do if you want to wait the 17-20 weeks it will take to
get the plush or if you want to have your points
returned (so be sure you keep an eye out for this and
respond to it when you get it). If you have had your
points returned and you know your order was postmarked before the
deadline stated above, call Hasbro for information on
how to get back on the list. (Our thanks to Hasbro and
everyone who worked hard to resolve this.) |

Frilly
Frocks plush update from Hasbro (taken from the official
site):
Prior orders for the FRILLY FROCKS Jumbo Plush Pony are
being processed based on the date received. Some orders
already have been fulfilled. For those who submitted
orders but have not yet received the item, both in the
U.S. and Canada, please note the following: Each person
who submitted an order that was postmarked by January 18
and has not yet received the FRILLY FROCKS pony, will
receive a written response indicating that due to back
order problems there will be a delay in shipping the
item. Those who submitted orders postmarked after
January 18 will receive a full refund of their points
and shipping/handling fee. Some customers have indicated
they would prefer to receive a substitute product
instead of a refund. Unfortunately, in this instance no
suitable alternative product is available. We appreciate
your understanding and we apologize for any
inconvenience this has caused you.
Also, UK
McDonalds have ponies now (the same as the previously
seen Dutch editions). |

If you you would
like to order the new G1 Glory figurine (and you live in
the US), you can look for
the order form in your paper through the Hamilton
Collection or you can pick up a phone and call 1-877-268-6638 with the
item number 09-00372-001-H28501. (Call Monday - Friday from 8:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M., Central
Time.) Glory might be 1 in a set of 8 ponies, but only
Glory is available for order right now. If you are in
Canada, the item is not available for order yet, but
Oberon and Minty report that the product number is on file
and the item should be available eventually, but at this
time we're not certain how long it will be. You can call
1-800-265-1027 to be put on the list for their catalog,
if you desire. Or check
ca.collectiblestoday.com for product updates.
No news
on availability in other areas yet. See picture on the
Arena.
In G3 news,
how about a
camera? (Thanks, Laura.) |

Hasbro
reports MLP was one of the "bright spots" in its core
brands and had a fabulous year in 2004. Not only did it
performed strongly, but also its revenue was up more
than 100%.
From
Hasbro's management presentation:
My Little
Pony delivers a wonderful, caring, not edgy world that
girls and their moms love again. Around the world, there
are over 20 million ponies in little girls' hands. And
our intent is to keep the product as special as ever in
2005.
A Hasbro properties group team has developed extensive
publishing and licensing programs to surround little
girls and enhance their enjoyment of the brand.
For 2005, the new scene is Butterfly Island. A magical
place where you might just find a Pegasus pony. The
Butterfly Island adventure playset lets girls experience
that magic at home.
In 2004, we had a breakout with the My Little Pony
So-Soft pony, a soft, oversized My Little Pony to feed
and nurture. For 2005, we bring Good Morning Sunshine, a
pony that seems to be truly alive and that responds to
every little girl's nurturing touch.
For holiday 2005, the Hasbro Property Group has
developed a wonderful holiday movie entitled
A Very
Minty Christmas. This movie will be distributed
direct to video through our Paramount Home Video
relationship. Of course, we will offer toys and
storybooks that lets girls enjoy this adventure at home.
Also,
Breezie reports that an additional run of Frilly
Frocks is being put together for Hasbro, Canada, to help
fill some of the orders there. It might take a long time
to get them, 17-22 weeks was suggested, but at least
they are trying to fulfill the orders now. |

Sayerd
reports finding a new so-soft baby pony
Misty Mornings on auction. Pony appears to be a Target
exclusive. Several report that there are new
My Little Pony checks available for order. Included are
4 designs, with one being Star Catcher. Josh and others
report that the third Easter pony is Yesterdaisy. No
confirmation on what she looks like yet. Also, a new product
which appears to be available only in Australia at the
moment:
MLP Playtime Cottage (thanks, PCBabySunribbon and
Blueskyline2). Playset comes with Forsythia and
books.
The
index has also updated. Please note that there are some new
entries on the index, including pony places or special
events, like the Friendship Ball or Kimono's Cave. I will be
adding profile pages for these places for storyline
references. These are not new playsets.
