Cherry Blossom was a part of the general
assortment of rainbow ponies, which should have
been available at most stores in early summer of
2004. Unfortunately, she was spotted only at a
limited number of stores like Target and Wal-Mart.
The reason is not entirely clear, but may have
been related to the merge of rainbow/glitter
ponies into the new Perfectly Pony group, which
may have cause poor distribution for the last
official rainbow set (of which she was a part). She was usually spotted at
independent retailers or smaller retailers, such
as closeout stores or grocery stores and
pharmacies, until at last she was packaged in "Buy
Three" packs at Wal-Mart for a special low price.

In
2005, Cherry Blossom II would be issued in a new
pose with a Seaside Celebration beachwear dress-up
set. In 2006, she would be issued in her third
pose in a Balloon Flying set.
