IPD 2004 Banner Contest now in the swing of things. What is IPD? International Pony Day is observed in August by friends of the pony community. Desert Blossom does bear some resemblance to the name Desert Rose which has been used before, but it is hard to say if one or both will be in the line someday. In other news, some of the new ponies are coming packaged with free stickers (thanks, everyone). MLP sandals now at Payless and rumors of a video at Payless are supposedly the Birthday video (thanks, Smawpaws). I'll be at the national chinchilla show until Monday, FYI.

Singapore ponies report that the A Charming Birthday episode is now available on VCD. Beauty accessories (like lip gloss and shower gel) now popping up in Canada (thanks, Star Swirl). More US KB Toys stores are now just receiving the Wishing Well with Crystal Crown playset. :) Finally! Also though this is not technically related to G3 news, a new online game Pony Island is now open to all players who have an interest in raising horses online. If you are a pony collector (and of an appropriate age to play online games), you might want to check it out. Gamers, see you there!

New trademark listed: Butterfly Island. There is indication that this will be a playset with a pony, but we do not know if it is for 2004 or if it is really for 2005. Still interesting! Tanya spots Rainbow Flash and Petal Blossom with babies spotted in the UK (Tesco)!

Three new ponies added to Hasbro's site include Cupcake, Cherry Blossom, and Sky Wishes. Sweet Song is also listed, but no pictures yet. You may read their stories on the site and notice that Sweet Song plays a mandolin. As we speculated in the past, we believe Sweet Song and Mandoline are the same ponies (perhaps there was a name change along the way).

Get a look at some of the new up and coming ponies, (thanks PonyRiot). These ponies are not out yet, but are scheduled for summer release last we heard. Hasbro has also updated its site with some of the new product information (including a picture of Crystal Crown, though she's not reported at KB Toys yet). Bumblesweet and Serendipity were found at KB Toys in Pennsylvania (thanks, Valerie), so they are now trickling in to other stores.

Keep an eye out for those Spring/Easter Ponies at Target! They should be out at stores before the end of the month (and are now being spotted here or there). Selsey finds new hair clips in the UK (see pics here hosted by Taffeta). Charlotte spots the new Jan/Feb and Feb/Mar edition of the MLP magazine in France, including the usual comics, games, and contests. New pony books are also out at Wal-Mart and Toys R Us, including Pinkie Pie's Pretty Hair Day and Five Friends. Baby Goldilocks also found Walter Foster's How to Draw MLP at Michaels hobby/craft store.

News about the UK release of the new ponies this year (we can only assume that worldwide release dates may be similar, but of course they are not always the same; thanks Lightninglover). Released in new dressup sets will be Rainbow Dash (in Sunny Daze I pose) and Pinkie Pie (in Wysteria's pose), this being the third pose for each character.

New MLP birthday supplies now available at Factory Card Outlets (thanks, Arwyn) and some Target stores (thanks, VAGusty). Blueangelnluv found the new MLP dish set for order online. A recent report by Baby Boomba about possible availability issues with Dazzle Surprise. It is possible that she is out of stock or on backorder. We really don't know. Arzosah finds new heart-shaped bath gels in Australia. Also be on the lookout for new pony books this month. Some have already been spotted at Wal-Mart, like Pinkie Pie's Pretty Hair Day. How to Draw MLP by Walter Foster is now available through Barnes and Noble. MLP Diary and MLP Mini Play Pad by Artistic Studios (coming out in May) also listed on Barnes and Noble.com.
