In the summer of 2003, special 2-packs were released on the US market, which included the purchase of a pony and a bonus pony for free. With the purchase of Minty or Sparkleworks ponies, you would receive a free Autumn Skye, Star Swirl, or Butterscotch pony. While Minty and Sparkleworks came with a brush and charm, the promotional ponies did not have accessories. In fact, the only way to get their complete accessories was to purchase them from Europe where they were sold as singles with brush and charm. These 2-packs would be available on some international markets, but an entirely different set of 2-pack promotions was also available in certain parts of Europe, which including the  Season/Celebration Ponies (Winter Snow, Autumn Skye, Spring Fever, Sweet Summertime, Star Swirl, and Butterscotch).
